Strange Looking Window Heights Explained

In February 2026 we were contacted by Acorn Childcare Centre in Stamford, Lincolnshire who wanted a new portable building for 2 - 3 year old children as an additional nursery facility.

After us providing various drawings and revisions, they visited our factory to look at different sized new portable buildings in various stages of manufacture and brought with them a number of questions. Our meeting lasted quite a while and based upon our discussions we produced a final drawing and costings for them.

They wanted the building to be manufactured and then delivered at 8am on Saturday the 25th of April when the nursery was closed.

They designed the building well with the main aesthetic part being the large double sized windows lowered, so that when the children are inside the building they can see out of it.

The colour scheme also worked well with the main external body in Hamlet and with Moorland Green trims. They also specified the vinyl flooring to be in a light coloured Ivory, which with the large windows, made the building very light.

Internally we provided them with an open plan area with heat / cool air conditioning and a base unit, sink and worksurface. A small office was added at one end of the building and at then other end of the building, a staff toilet, a children sized toilet and an infrared mixer tap.

It was a pleasure dealing with Lorna from the Acorn Childcare Centre and they were delighted with the quality of our building, our costs and continued first class service throughout the process.
