Pastures Golf Club receive new club area building

We were contacted by the committee of a small but beautiful 9-hole Golf Club in Mickleover near Derby who wanted to replace their aging existing portable building.

We arranged to meet with the committee on site and indeed, their building was extremely old and beyond refurbishment. They also wanted to extend the size of the existing 28’ x 9’ building to a 32’ x 10’ building.

They explained that they would demolish their building into skips and build four concrete foundation pads for the jack legs of the new building to sit on. The only problem was that the transportation had to travel 100 metres across a grassed area which they assured me was extremely firm underneath.

We manufactured their new building with Moorland Green external plastic-coated steel panels to aesthetically fit within the environment and supplied double width white Upvc windows to the two main elevations along with a steel Kirncroft entrance door that was fitted with a digital lock.

We advised that trees in the entrance road would need to be cut back to save any damage being caused to the building upon delivery and that the weather would need to remain dry on the leadup to the delivery. To be able to stretch from the area where the transport vehicle could get to and to where the building needed to be sited, we used a 100 ton 40’ articulated hi-ab vehicle for the delivery.

Three days before the delivery it started to rain heavily and we gave them the option to delay the delivery, but they insisted that the grassed area that the wagon needed to travel across, was extremely firm.

And they were right. The building was successfully delivered and sited without any problems and to the complete satisfaction of the Golf Club.
