Did You Know? Not all portable buildings are the same?

The terms 'portable building' and 'modular building' are often used interchangeably, but there is a difference.

Portable buildings are designed to be manufactured off-site, transported to a location and installed by a hi-ab craned vehicle ready for use. They can be ideal when you need additional space quickly, and they can be relocated if your requirements change.

Sizes range from a small 3.6m x 3m building (10.8m2) to a larger 12m x 3.6m building (43.2 m2)

Modular buildings are also manufactured off-site, but they can offer greater flexibility when it comes to the size, layout and specification of the building. Individual modules can be combined to create larger spaces and more complex layouts.

Any new modular building that is over 50m2 in area, will need to comply with the latest Part L2A Building Regulations
